About Richard Thacker

Bio

Richard Thacker, DO, obtained his bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida. He then went on to earn a doctors of osteopathic medicine degree at Nova Southeastern University, followed by an internal medicine internship and residency at Delaware Valley Medical Center. Upon completion, he established a family medicine practice in Tallahassee.

Dr. Thacker has served as medical director for rehabilitation, hospice and home health care organizations. He also served as Associate Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine. He has served in a number of leadership roles at Capital Regional Medical Center, ranging from Chair of the Department of Medicine to Vice Chair of the hospital's Board of Trustees.
